Grammy winner Missy Elliott and UPN are ready to give hip-hop hopefuls the chance to work it on national TV. The diva and the netlet are joining forces on a new dramality series tentatively titled "Missy Elliott Project."

The search is set to begin this Sunday (March 7) with casting sessions in Los Angeles. Subsequent auditions in Chicago (3/10), New York (3/12), Atlanta (3/15), Arlington, VA (3/17) and Dallas (3/19) will follow. Wannabes are asked to have a three-minute routine prepared to show off their abilities as a singer, a rapper, a dancer and as an all-around entertainer.

The show will attempt to follow in the footsteps of UPN's dramality smash "America's Next Top Model," as Elliott takes a group of young vocalists on the road and puts them through the paces to see if they have what it takes to be America's Next Top Hip-Hop Star. The cameras will be rolling at all times as the contestants live, work, train and perform together.

More information on the casting process is available at www.upn.com.
